Who We Are
Thank you for visiting our website and your interest in learning more about us. We are honored.
We met in 2007 while working in the nonprofit sector. Like you, we gave presentations on a regular basis. It wasn’t something we were really taught how to do, and there were few examples out there for how to do it well. In truth, many of us were doing a really poor job, and missing opportunities as a result. We needed to improve our communication skills across the board. Ever wonder how to make the magic happen in a meeting or inspire a call to action in a presentation? What about ways to share data so it mobilizes a community rather than putting people to sleep? We certainly did. So we decided to work together answer these questions and find a way to do things better! It was a total macaroni and cheese/ pb & j situation. It just worked.
Since then we’ve developed and facilitated hundreds of presentations using our easy and effective planning process. We’ve had some big wins, and major disasters (don’t ask; we’re still embarrassed). We've learned so much from each of these experiences.
When we started working together, it was simply about making our own work better, but eventually it became more. We learned what a gift it is to help others. We quickly saw that most people already have the skills and tools they need to develop great presentations and communications - often they just don't know it. And so our side hustle was born.
Prior to the pandemic, we facilitated in-person trainings throughout New England. In 2020, we transitioned to a virtual format and have been fortunate to work with public health entities across the country, training thousands of people in the field. While it was a challenging time for everyone, we got a special opportunity: the chance to connect with more people than we’d ever expected, all doing amazing work in their communities. It changed our lives.
